Job summary

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory invites an Intern in the TID RFAR group to support mechanical engineering work on klystrons and accelerators. The role includes CAD modeling, prints, GD&T, and updating assembly procedures, with hands-on design experience.

You will work with Solid Edge, PDM/Teamcenter, and MS Office while enrolled undergrad or recently graduated, gaining practical research experience within a Stanford environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or recently graduated.
• Interest in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with Solid Edge or capable of learning PDM/Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• CAD modeling of parts and assemblies.
• Completing thorough prints.
• Understanding and using GD&T.
• Understanding and updating assembly procedures.
• Sourcing outdated electronics and creating schematics.
