Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Human Resources internship with the Shelby Township Human Resource Department for fall. The intern will gain exposure to benefits, recruiting, and labor negotiations while working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, August through November.

The position offers an hourly rate of $16.01–$17.24 and is not eligible for benefits. Candidates must be enrolled in HR, business, or related fields and possess strong communication and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Human Resource, Business or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee wellness initiatives in preparation for Wellness Fair.
• Coordinate employee vaccination Clinic.
• Support benefit open enrollment.
• Coordinate with Township Departments to obtain employee HRIS data and photos.
• Audit legal postings and safety training schedules.
