Job summary

CRC Group is offering a 8-10 week internship designed to provide college students with development and application experience in the insurance sector. Interns will explore the industry and the CRC Group organization, learn about workflows, and gain business insight while developing leadership and collaboration skills.

Interns collaborate with teammates across entities, work on special assignments, and participate in formal and informal trainings to prepare for a potential career in insurance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Insurance and/or Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; any relevant degree.
• Demonstrated strong academic performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work in a team environment and maintain professionalism.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Learn about insurance industry workflows and divisions within the organization.
• Gain analytical, technical, and decision-making skills through formal and informal learning opportunities.
• Complete projects or assignments that support the department's mission and intern learning.
• Complete all prescribed trainings satisfactorily.

The Internship provides college students with an 8-10 week unique development and application experience offering the opportunity to assess interest and aptitude for a career in insurance. During this internship, interns will explore the insurance industry as well as the Truist Insurance Holdings organization as a whole and the unique way each specific entity contributes to the overall success of the organization. Interns will gain general insurance and business insight, experience the organization's culture, and play a meaningful role in supporting the organization's goals. Interns will also continue to develop leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Interns work with various teammates in various entities to expand knowledge of Insurance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn about insurance, the industry workflow, and various divisions within the organization as assigned during the internship
• Gain analytical, technical, and decision making skills through formal and informal learning opportunities
• Complete special projects or assignments that assist the department in its mission and help the intern learn more about the corporate environment
• Complete all prescribed training satisfactorily
• Network with senior leaders, experienced teammates, and other interns to develop lasting professional connections
• Receive formal and informal feedback throughout the program

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• Working towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Insurance and/or Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, other business, analytical, computer science, or data related field, any relevant degree, or advanced degree at an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated strong academic performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional composure
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred interest in pursuing insurance services as a career
• Previous work experience or internship
• Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude
