Job summary

CRC Group in Tampa, FL is offering an 8-10 week internship designed to expose college students to the insurance industry and the Truist Insurance Holdings organization. You will gain general insurance insight and develop leadership, communication, and collaboration skills by working with teammates across entities.

This program emphasizes hands-on learning, formal and informal training, networking with senior leaders, and contributing to meaningful projects that support the department's mission.

Qualifications

• Working towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Insurance and/or Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• Demonstrated strong academic performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional composure.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

• Learn about insurance, the industry workflow, and divisions within the organization as assigned during the internship.
• Gain analytical, technical, and decision making skills through formal and informal learning opportunities.
• Complete special projects or assignments that assist the department in its mission and help the intern learn more about the corporate environment.

• Network with senior leaders, experienced teammates, and other interns to develop lasting professional connections.

The Internship provides college students with an 8-10 week unique development and application experience offering the opportunity to assess interest and aptitude for a career in insurance. During this internship, interns will explore the insurance industry as well as the Truist Insurance Holdings organization as a whole and the unique way each specific entity contributes to the overall success of the organization. Interns will gain general insurance and business insight, experience the organization's culture, and play a meaningful role in supporting the organization's goals. Interns will also continue to develop leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Interns work with various teammates in various entities to expand knowledge of Insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• Working towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Insurance and/or Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, other business, analytical, computer science, or data related field, any relevant degree, or advanced degree at an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated strong academic performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional composure
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred interest in pursuing insurance services as a career
• Previous work experience or internship
• Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude
