Job summary

Bennett & Pless, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to design elements within structural systems for a variety of project types and to coordinate with engineers and designers to meet client quality expectations.

You will prepare construction drawings in Revit/AutoCAD, review shop drawings, and assist with calculations under supervision, gaining exposure to codes and project workflows in commercial, industrial, and public sector settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD; AutoCAD required.

Job description

You’d Be Responsible For

• Designing specific elements with in overall structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations, and existing facility analysis.
• Interacting and coordinating with structural engineers and Revit/Cad Designers to produce deliverables are compliant with client expectations and Bennett & Pless quality levels.
• Preparing construction drawings in Revit/AutoCAD format, preparing calculations as directed by the project structural engineer, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, performing site reviews with the project structural engineer, and preparing RFI responses as directed by the project structural engineer.

Other Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Pursuit of a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Ability to learn applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.
• Experience in Revit is a plus. Experience in AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
