Job summary

Bennett & Pless Inc is seeking bright and motivated engineering students for our summer internship program in our Orlando and Sarasota offices.

You would be responsible for designing elements within structural systems, coordinating with engineers and designers, and preparing construction drawings in Revit/AutoCAD to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Pursuit of a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Ability to learn applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.
• Experience in Revit is a plus.
• Experience in AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with industry standard software (Microsoft, Bentley RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Designing elements within structural systems for diverse projects.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and Revit/Cad Designers to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and Bennett & Pless quality standards.
• Prepare construction drawings in Revit/AutoCAD, perform calculations, review shop drawings, and respond to RFIs as directed by the project structural engineer.

Bennett & Pless is seeking bright and motivated engineering students for our summer internship program in our Orlando and Sarasota offices.

You’d be responsible for:

• Designing specific elements with in overall structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations, and existing facility analysis.
• Interacting and coordinating with structural engineers and Revit/Cad Designers to produce deliverables are compliant with client expectations and Bennett & Pless quality levels.
• Preparing construction drawings in Revit/AutoCAD format, preparing calculations as directed by the project structural engineer, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, performing site reviews with the project structural engineer, and preparing RFI responses as directed by the project structural engineer.
