Mission Objectives
Support the digital transformation and IT infrastructure management of PAE Fires by providing comprehensive project management, resource coordination, and administrative oversight. The Intermediate Project Manager assists in executing the operational and strategic goals of the PAE Fires OCIO, ensuring that all IT services, cybersecurity, and network management tasks are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and within compliance of DoD/Army standards.
Position Responsibility Summary
- Provide daily operational oversight, technical guidance, and resource coordination for assigned IT tasks, ensuring the timely and successful achievement of all contract requirements.
- Coordinate directly with supported customers, the Government Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and internal team leads to manage, allocate, and control project resources effectively.
- Employ a management system aligned with the DoD Management Philosophy of continuous process improvement to deliver high-quality information, IT products, and service support.
- Monitor and track team performance across various functional areas, including systems administration, network management, and help desk operations, ensuring alignment with service level agreements (SLAs) and contract deliverables.
- Assist the Senior Program Manager in developing project schedules, integrated master schedules, risk management plans, and required contract deliverable (CDRL) reporting.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of customer mission areas, including aviation and missile systems IT requirements, acquisition/logistics data management, and emerging hardware/software solutions.
- Ensure all assigned staff comply with DoD 8140/DCWF training, certification, and security protocols, tracking compliance and continuous professional development (CPD) metrics.
- Support meeting facilitation, including participating in technical interchange meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and formally presenting project statuses to Government stakeholders.
Position Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in IT project management, personnel oversight, and resource allocation within a Federal or Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Familiarity with DoD continuous process improvement methodologies, risk management, and performance tracking.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with experience interfacing directly with Government stakeholders (e.g., CORs, OCIOs).
Education and Credentials
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Alternative: Associate's Degree (AA) combined with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: Compliant with DoDM 8140.03/DCWF proficiency standards. Must obtain Antiterrorism (AT) Level I awareness training within 30 days of performance start.
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive project management experience.
Optional/Value-Added Experience
- Prior experience providing project management or IT administrative support to PAE Fires, Army Aviation and Missile commands, or similar organizations at Redstone Arsenal.
- Knowledge of Army cybersecurity requirements, data management, and network operations.
Optional/Value-Added Additional Credentials
- Education: Master's Degree in a related field.
- Certifications/Training: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) highly preferred. ITIL v3/v4 Foundation, Scrum Master (CSM), or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 8+ years of DoD IT Project Management experience.
Duty Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama 35898
Work Arrangement: On-site (embedded within the OCIO); situational telework may be authorized on a case-by-case basis with COR/KO approval
Travel Requirements: CONUS travel may be required; all travel requires prior written COR approval per JTR/FAR 31.205-46
Work Hours: Normal business hours 0630-1700, Monday-Friday, Central Time; may require hours in excess of 40 per week including holidays and weekends based on OCIO operations
Minimum Security Clearance Required: Secret
