Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas is seeking an experienced pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems per plans and codes. The role requires reading isometric drawings, fabricating and installing piping efficiently on site.

You will work with metal components, weld and thread joints, and hydro test systems while complying with safety rules. The position may require irregular hours, weekends, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior field experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Read isometric drawings, measure, fabricate and install piping.
• Align and clamp metal components for welding.
• Assemble and weld/thread pipes, tubes and fittings.
• Position materials per plans and install items.
• Identify metal thickness/types.
• Rigging and manual handling.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, drills, Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, pumps and supports.
• Hydro test piping systems.
