Job summary

ITW Permatex in Solon, OH is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine B Operator in the Manufacturing Department. The hours are 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday to Friday, performing packaging operations including filling, labeling, packing and closing containers.

Responsibilities include minor adjustments, changeovers, quality inspections, and training other operators. Forklift experience is required; you will support EH&S and QA guidelines as well as a safe, efficient production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating filling and packaging machines.
• Perform set-ups, changeovers and routine maintenance.
• Validate jobs per BOM and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Tend machines performing packaging functions (filling, labeling, packing, blistering or closing containers).
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure packaging per work orders.

We are presently seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift Machine B Operator in the Manufacturing Department. The hours for this position will be 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday.

The Machine B Operator Is Responsible For The Following

• Performs manually and/or tends machines which perform various packaging functions such as, filling, labeling, packing, blistering or closing containers.
• Responsible for minor adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines.
• Validates and organizes jobs in accordance with bill of materials and special work instructions based on current and future job orders.
• Responsible for conducting quality inspection of goods at the correct intervals, ensuring that product is packaged according to the work order.
• Ability to identify problems and assist in troubleshooting/training on the cardboard baler, plastic baler, carton erector, pallet jack, pick and place card/blister adjustments, taper/tape gun, and additional production equipment.
• Assists in training assigned full time/temp operators and assists other teams as needed.
• Forklift experience required.
• Promotes and follows all Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality guidelines and procedures.
• Must have the ability to fill in for Material Handlers and Machine C Operators when needed.

Compensation Information

$20.40 - $22.50, based upon experience. Additional $0.50 shift premium for working 2nd Shift.
