ITW in Bartlett, Illinois is seeking a Packaging Equipment Operator responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to ensure high-quality production. This role requires excellent machine operation skills and teamwork.
The position involves handling various equipment and working a 2nd shift, offering an hourly rate of $17.80 plus a shift differential of $3.00. Additional benefits include paid vacation and sick leave.
The Packaging Equipment Operator position is responsible for the operation and preventative maintenance of equipment in order to produce according to quality specifications in an efficient and safe manner. This is a 2nd shift position (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm).
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to heat, dust, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a distribution warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be present at an active construction site in various weather conditions. The employee must follow and use specific job site safety equipment and procedures, handle various company products while following proper safety guidelines, and be able to hear safety noises. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Hourly base salary is $17.80 plus applicable shift differential of $3.00. Company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
