Job summary

SLR seeks an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to lead design and analysis for solar and energy storage projects across North America and the Caribbean. You will oversee PV and storage system design, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients, utilities, and vendors.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, regulatory compliance, and collaboration in a dynamic team. A NYISO/PJM/MISO focus and site visits are part of the job, with strong growth opportunities and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

4+ years in power systems engineering with solar and battery storage experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer in NY or reciprocal state.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering.
Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office, and power system analysis tools.
Working knowledge of the NEC.

Responsibilities

Lead design, analysis, simulation, commissioning for CDG, solar and storage projects.
Mentor team members; uphold drawing standards and quality.
Provide technical support across all design phases and construction.
Manage tasks, milestones, and status reports for projects.
Interface with clients, vendors, utilities, and authorities to meet requirements.
Run energy production simulations using PVSyst, Helioscope, and Excel.
Perform power system studies including load flow and short-circuit analysis.
Prepare documentation, scopes of work, and RFP responses.
Support business development with technical input on proposals.
Visit sites for design verification, construction, and commissioning.
