Job summary

SLR Consulting seeks an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to lead solar PV and battery storage projects across North America. You will design, analyze, simulate, and commission systems for CDG, utility-scale solar, and storage, with a primary focus on NYISO, PJM, and MISO territories.

You’ll mentor teammates and collaborate with clients and utilities to meet schedules and budgets. The role requires strong technical skills, teamwork, and travel to project sites, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in power systems engineering with solar and battery storage experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer in New York or a state with reciprocity.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
Proficient with power system analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, PSCAD.

Responsibilities

Oversee and review all aspects of solar PV and battery energy storage system design, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Mentor Engineering team members, review deliverables for technical quality and consistency.
Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders across design, interconnection, and construction.
Oversee day-to-day project execution; manage tasks, milestones, and status reports.
Interface with clients, vendors, utilities, and authorities to align project requirements.
