Job summary

SLR Consulting (US) is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to lead solar PV and energy storage projects across North America and the Caribbean, delivering technical design and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor engineers, oversee project execution, and collaborate with clients, utilities, and partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in power systems engineering with solar and storage.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in New York or reciprocity.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office, and power system analysis tools ETAP/SKM/PSCAD.
• Working knowledge of NEC.
• Strong verbal and written communication; willing to travel; legally work in U.S.

Responsibilities

• Oversee solar PV and battery storage system design, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Mentor team members and uphold drawing standards.
• Provide technical support across design, interconnection, and construction.
• Manage day-to-day project execution and reporting.
• Interface with clients, vendors, utilities, and authorities.
• Perform energy production simulations and modeling (Excel, PVSyst, Helioscope).
• Conduct power system studies using ETAP and related tools.
• Prepare project documentation and responses to RFPs.
