Requirements to Qualify:
Completion of the Department of Human Resources Youth Worker (CYBP/CORE) Program * .
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
2 - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.
No withhold will be allowed. Required experience must be fully met at the time of filing and clearly indicated on the application.
This examination will consist of a multiple-choice and/or simulation assessment(s), weighted 100%, measuring:
Applicants must meet the requirements and receive a passing score of 70% or higher on weighted test part in order to be placed on the eligible register.
Multiple-choice and/ or simulation assessments are not reviewable by applicants per Civil Service Rule 7.19 .
We provide study guides and other test preparation resources to help candidates prepare for employment tests. While the guides may help in preparing for the test, we recommend reviewing all related materials that seem necessary.
Applicants who passed the assessments will be placed on an eligible register for a period of twelve (12) months. We will use this register to fill vacancies throughout the County of Los Angeles, as they occur. Applications will be processed on an as-received basis, and those earning a passing score will be promulgated to the eligible register accordingly.
Federal law requires that all employed persons have a Social Security Number, so include yours when applying.
For candidates who may not have regular access to a computer or the internet, applications can be completed on computers at public libraries throughout Los Angeles County.
