Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. seeks a Design Consultant to greet customers, assess needs, educate on materials, and craft design concepts aligned with clients’ style, lifestyle, and budget. You’ll schedule appointments and build a client base through networking.

You’ll advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects, while collaborating with store leadership and leveraging design apps for workflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and build clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Communicate consistently with customers and team using company tools and emails.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives and stay current with design trends.
• Use design applications such as Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, and MyProject.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
