Job summary

Motive is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner on a temporary basis to support our R&D organizations for an initial six-month period. This role will partner closely with R&D leaders and the People team to coach managers, support employee relations, and drive performance and core talent programs across the organization.

You will ensure consistent application of Motive policies, handle sensitive issues with discretion, and help translate insights into practical actions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP experience in fast-paced, global orgs.
• Experience supporting Engineering/Product or R&D groups.
• Strong coaching across performance, development, relations, and organizational effectiveness.
• Experience handling employee relations with sound judgment and discretion.
• Knowledge of compensation cycles, engagement surveys, and core talent programs.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve HR processes while protecting confidentiality.
• Strong business acumen and bias for operational excellence.
• Ability to quickly build trust with leaders and employees at multiple levels.
• Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted HRBP to leaders, managers, and individual contributors across Engineering and Product.
• Build relationships across CTO/CPO orgs to understand priorities and talent needs.
• Coach managers on performance, development, and organizational effectiveness.
• Support performance reviews, documentation, and improvement conversations.
• Conduct exit meetings and identify themes to inform coaching and People priorities.
• Manage employee relations matters with appropriate Legal partnerships.
• Help execute People programs and cycles, including growth cycles and engagement surveys.
• Surface talent trends and translate insights into practical actions.
