Job summary

Vaco is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support fixed asset accounting during a temporary leave. The role is hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area with potential for fully remote work for qualified candidates, lasting about 2 months with possible extension.

The ideal candidate has senior-level fixed asset experience in ERP, handles additions, disposals, impairments, and month-end close, and works independently to maintain accurate asset records and schedules.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on fixed asset accounting in ERP environment.
• Experience with asset additions, disposals, transfers, impairments.
• Solid month-end close knowledge.
• Ability to work independently at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fixed asset accounting activities and maintain accurate fixed asset records.
• Process asset additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and other fixed asset transactions.
• Track asset movements and ensure location transfers and related accounting entries are recorded accurately.
• Support high-volume fixed asset activity during month-end close and reporting cycles.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, reconciliations, and accounting documentation.
• Assist with prepaid expense accounting and related close activities.
• Partner with the accounting team to ensure transactions are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Investigate and resolve fixed asset accounting issues with minimal supervision.
