Job summary

PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) is seeking a part-time Safety Support Associate for the Colonial Motel site in Long Beach, CA. The role supports the Interim Housing team by monitoring safety, engaging participants, and assisting with crisis response.

The position requires de-escalation, collaboration with case management, and coordination with security agencies to maintain a safe environment for staff, participants, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills and attention to detail to interpret data and identify trends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the interim housing site using observation and de-escalation strategies.
• Coordinate with the onsite case management team to provide support to the site.
• Coordinate with contracted security agencies to ensure safety of the site.
• Develop forms, procedures, and manuals for the Interim Housing site.
• Complete reports as necessary or requested.
• Assist with responding to safety and security incidents using non-violent crisis intervention.
