Job summary

PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) is hiring a Safety Support Associate for the ABC Hotel in Long Beach, CA. The role supports the Interim Housing team, maintaining a safe environment for staff, participants, and visitors, with duties including direct client services, harm reduction support, meals, cleaning, and general site operations.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, with evening weekend hours (Saturday and Sunday 3:00 pm–11:30 pm) at a California location, offering benefits as part of

Responsibilities

• Ensure interim housing site safety through observation and de-escalation.
• Coordinate with on-site case management to support participants.
• Coordinate with security to maintain site safety.
• Conduct routine rounds and report discrepancies or concerns.
• Respond to safety or crisis situations using non-violent crisis intervention.
• Complete and file required safety and incident reports.
