Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Interim Fund Accounting Controller or Assistant Controller for a senior-level, temporary engagement in San Francisco, CA. The candidate will oversee fund accounting workbooks, GAAP financial statements, and footnote disclosures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting standards.

The role is hybrid (in-office 3 days/week in San Francisco) with remote consideration but requires PST hours.

Qualifications

• Senior-level fund accounting experience in a Controller/Assistant Controller capacity.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing GAAP financial statements incl. footnote disclosures.
• Background in private equity, real estate investment management, or fund administration.

Responsibilities

• Review fund accounting workbooks and schedules prepared by the accounting team.
• Review GAAP financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure reporting complies with U.S. GAAP and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to senior fund accounting team members.
