Qualifications

Interim Strategic Finance Manager

Our client, a global technology company, is seeking an Interim Strategic Finance Manager to provide analytical and commercial support across pricing, packaging, and monetization initiatives.

This role is hybrid preferred, with access to a San Francisco Bay Area office. Remote candidates may also be considered, provided they are available during core business hours (PST). Occasional travel may be required. This role has an anticipated duration of up to six months.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial and commercial analyses supporting pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies
• Partner with Product leaders to evaluate customer needs, product performance, market trends, and growth opportunities
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from initial concept and modeling through operational implementation
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to assess pricing, discounting, buyer behavior, and willingness to pay
• Build structured financial models, analytical frameworks, templates, and reporting tools that support repeatable decision-making
• Evaluate the financial implications of pricing decisions, including revenue, billing, cash flow, and accounting considerations
• Support deal analysis, go-to-market planning, pipeline conversion, and other strategic finance projects
• Prepare executive-ready presentations and recommendations that clearly communicate findings, risks, and proposed actions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, pricing and packaging, product strategy, consulting, investment banking, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience developing monetization strategies for software, subscription, or usage-based businesses
• Exceptional Excel or Google Sheets skills, with advanced financial modeling and data analysis capabilities
• Strong technology industry experience and an understanding of go-to-market, commercial, and revenue-related business drivers
• Excellent executive communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to lead ambiguous projects independently
