Job summary

Experience Senior Living LLC. seeks a Culinary Specialist to lead interim culinary operations across communities during executive transitions and openings. You will assess operations, stabilize performance, and ensure ESL's culinary philosophy and standards are consistently demonstrated.

As a hands-on leader, you will manage menus, quality, sanitation, budgeting, and resident experience, travel across portfolios as needed, and mentor kitchen and dining teams toward a premier dining program.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive culinary experience in senior living, hospitality, or related environment.
• Three+ years of successful culinary leadership experience (Executive Chef or equivalent).
• Advanced knowledge of culinary operations, menu development, food production, dining service, food safety, sanitation, purchasing, and cost controls.
• Experience managing budgets, food costs, labor targets, purchasing, vendors, scheduling, and department performance.
• Certification like Food Protection Manager, or other required by law or company standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim leadership of culinary department during vacancies, leaves, or openings.
• Assess food quality, dining service, sanitation, staffing, costs, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead daily kitchen and dining operations in interim capacity.
• Develop menus reflecting resident preferences, dietary needs, and ESL standards.
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, purchasing, and vendor management.
