Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey seeks a Day Service Supervisor to oversee Habilitation Specialists and Direct Support Professionals in community prevocational and day habilitation programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in related field preferred; combination with related work experience acceptable.
• One year of work experience in mental health, vocational rehabilitation, or case management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to Habilitation Specialists and Direct Support Professionals in community prevocational and day habilitation services.
• Coordinate and ensure service delivery for a caseload of up to 30 individuals with I/DD.
• Oversee implementation of Person-Centered Planning and ensure goals are achieved.
• Prepare and review monthly attendance reports for the Program Manager.
• Develop monthly group and individual schedules considering each individual's goals, needs and skills.
• Monitor and submit required documentation (Life Plans, Case Notes, Plans, Assessments) per funding source standards.
• Balance petty cash, Metro Card distribution and monthly transportation reimbursements.
• Visit hub sites and volunteer/intern sites to supervise activities and assess progress.
• Ensure staff enter time and services accurately and maintain audit-ready charts.
