Get ready for a thrilling opportunity to join a dynamic finance team as a Contract Payroll Manager. This is a temp-to-perm position, where you will have the chance to showcase your skills in payroll management, compliance, general ledger maintenance, and much more. You will be responsible for managing semi-monthly and weekly payroll for our employees, ensuring that all payments are accurate, on time, and compliant with state, federal, and union rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Managing the complete payroll process for all employees on a semi-monthly and weekly basis.
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Managing and ensuring compliance with all payroll tax obligations across multiple states.
• Overseeing the administration of 401K contributions, garnishments, and other deductions.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Handling payroll-related questions and resolving any payroll issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborating with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
• Managing the month-end processes related to payroll and ensuring accurate general ledger postings.
• Processing timecards and timesheets accurately and timely.
• Ensuring compliance with FMLA and other relevant labor laws.
