Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Interim Controller to serve as a financial expert for our client. You will lead accounting functions, provide analytical support, and supervise staff, including overseeing AP, AR, payroll, tax, and cost/inventory accounting.

You will manage financial reporting, analyze trends and variances, and support budgeting with monthly variance analyses. Strong technical accounting, attention to detail, and cross‑department coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong accounting knowledge and leadership abilities.
• Experience with financial reporting and variance analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for the business unit.
• Establish and coordinate all accounting procedures for the unit.
• Investigate significant trends/variances in financial data.
• Handle AP, AR, payroll, tax functions as well as cost and inventory accounting.
• Provide daily and/or weekly analysis and reporting on operational performance.
• Monitor margins, variances, and provide feedback; assist budgeting and monthly variance analyses.
