About the Role:

The Interim AP/Payroll Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll within the organization. This position is responsible for managing payroll data, verifying timesheets, and coordinating with various departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll Coordinator will oversee the maintenance of payroll records, prepare reports, and assist with audits to guarantee data integrity and confidentiality. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle sensitive information with discretion and communicate effectively with employees and management. Ultimately, the Payroll Coordinator ensures that all employees are compensated correctly and on schedule, contributing to overall employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in the United States.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
  • Experience with popular payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or Workday.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and timekeeping systems.

  • Effective communication skills to interact with employees at all levels.
