You will supervise staff, collaborate with the Impact department on grant management, and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as audits and 990 filings.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience required, with managerial experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting and grant tracking is a plus.

• Partners with departmental leadership on finance best practices.

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the accounting department within the organization. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting principles, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures. The Accounting Manager will also work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth functioning of financial processes while supporting the mission of the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works accurately, efficiently, and independently.

Primary Responsibilities

• Controls and manages all functional areas of accounting (including bank reconciliations, pledges, accounts payable).
• Supervises and mentors accounting staff, providing training and support for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Experience with Intacct, Bill, Blackbaud preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
