Job summary

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, project billing, GL maintenance, month-end close, payroll, and process improvements. The successful candidate will bring 3+ years in construction/project-based accounting and strong communication with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including day-to-day operations.
• Construction, contracting, or project-based accounting experience.
• Experience with project billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong general ledger knowledge with the ability to work independently and communicate with leadership.

Our client, a residential construction and services company, is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager to provide hands-on support during a transition period.

This role is hybrid, with in-office requirements 3 days/week in Los Gatos, CA. This role has an initial duration of 3 months, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer billing, and collections activities

Requirements:

• Proficiency with construction-focused accounting software or a comparable ERP platform
• Strong general ledger knowledge with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with leadership
