Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas seeks a Student Development Specialist III to plan and implement programs that support international student success and promote intercultural learning across the UT Dallas community. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience with college students or adolescents in community groups in an advisory, administrative or educational capacity or the equivalent combination of relevant education and experience totaling at least seven years.
  • Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or international studies with 1–3 years in a higher education setting is preferred.
  • Previous international experience and/or serving international student populations and experience with programming and events for college populations are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Intercultural Programs events and activities.
  • Network and collaborate with campus and community partners to establish co-sponsored programs.
  • Supervise student workers and provide training, guidance, and feedback.
  • Provide guidance and resources for new and continuing international students.
  • Manage ICP social media platforms, including hosting Instagram lives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience or seven years total education/experience
Master’s degree preferred with 1–3 years in higher education
