Job summary

KVC Health Systems in Morehead, KY is seeking a Homebuilders Intensive Family Preservation Specialist to deliver in-home services under the HOMEBUILDERS model, providing crisis intervention, counseling, skill-building and advocacy to two to three families at a time. The role involves traveling to client homes, meeting families 3-5 times weekly, and being available 24/7 as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field; or undergraduate degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve an average of 18-22 families per year.
• Travel to client homes and other locations.
• Meet with families 3-5 times a week, approximately 10 hours per week, over a 4-6 week period.
• Maintain a flexible workweek, scheduling sessions evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Be available to client families 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
• Assist with client intake sessions within 24 hours of referral and determine eligibility within 72 hours.
