CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline BIM efforts on transit and multimodal projects across US offices. The role emphasizes coordinating intelligent models, performing clash checks, and ensuring adherence to CAD/BIM standards.

The position requires extensive experience in CADD/BIM, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to mentor staff while interfacing with clients and agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver a single federated model.
• Lead clash detection in Navisworks and coordinate resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentor and guide production staff to build institutional capability across geographies.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements and data handoff standards.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise pursuit teams on model-based deliverables.
