Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline BIM efforts across transit and multimodal projects in US offices. You will coordinate models, perform Navisworks clash detection, and drive adherence to CAD/BIM standards while mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities include interfacing with clients and agencies, developing BIM Execution Plans, and ensuring deliverable quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and vocational CADD training; intelligent modeling experience preferred.
• 12 years of related experience in CADD/BIM environments.
• Experience coordinating intelligent models across multiple disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk BIM tools and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a federated model.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run clash checks in Navisworks and drive resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establish and enforce CAD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentor production staff and provide design sketches for deliverables.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
