Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking an Intelligence Analyst I in the Gaming Enforcement Division to support investigations into expanded gaming, financial crime, and related activity. Based in Boston, the position requires the ability to work across federal, state, and local partners, with travel as needed.
Job Description - INTELLIGENCE ANALYST | Gaming Enforcement Division (2600062X)
The Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for developing and analyzing tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence to support ongoing investigations and prosecutions related to expanded gaming in the Commonwealth, including gaming-related financial crime, organized crime, corruption, and money laundering. The analyst will also conduct and manage complex research into illegal gambling organizations to uncover their criminal activities. Such research will include but not be limited to: analysis of raw telephone-related data, such as subscriber and call detail records and evaluation of phone calls, email activity, text messages, extracted smartphone data and metadata; analysis of GPS and other location data; analysis of social media activity; and analysis of illegal gambling website logs. The analyst will proactively collect, analyze, and synthesize such data obtained either through subpoena or other sources, and communicate patterns to the investigative team. The analyst will be responsible for developing pattern and multi-target analysis derived from multiple data sets and coordinating multi-agency collaboration between attorneys, investigators, and law enforcement partners. Specifically, the analyst will provide project management and intelligence analysis for all partners, including meeting logistics, inter-agency communications, and data presentations in order to identify trends in criminal activity occurring inside and outside the casinos, and cultivate possible leads or further direction for deeper investigation into criminal activity.
