Job description

  • Develop and analyze tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence for Gaming Enforcement Division investigations and prosecutions
  • Support investigations involving gaming-related financial crime, organized crime, corruption, and money laundering
  • Conduct and manage complex research into illegal gambling organizations and their criminal activities
  • Analyze subscriber and call detail records, phone calls, email activity, text messages, extracted smartphone data, metadata, GPS and location data, social media activity, and illegal gambling website logs
  • Proactively collect, analyze, and synthesize data obtained through subpoena or other sources
  • Communicate data patterns to the investigative team
  • Develop pattern and multi-target analysis from multiple data sets
  • Coordinate collaboration among attorneys, investigators, and law enforcement partners
  • Provide project management and intelligence analysis, including meeting logistics, inter-agency communications, and data presentations
  • Identify trends in criminal activity inside and outside casinos and cultivate leads or directions for deeper investigations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience as an Intelligence Analyst in the law enforcement, military, or intelligence communities
  • Demonstrated interest and understanding of Gaming enforcement
  • Experience with review and analysis of raw data and digital forensic software reports, CSLI/ping information, and/or video and audio recording content and metadata
  • Experience synthesizing and interpreting data, preparing and presenting reports, developing pattern analysis, and conducting multi-target analysis utilizing multiple data sets simultaneously
  • Solid command of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and Google Earth
  • Advanced Excel skills and prior experience with statistical software, geolocation/mapping tools, and law enforcement case management platforms
  • Expertise in formatting and design of reports, link charts, graphs, and tables
  • Familiarity with social media data exploitation and comfort with open-source research
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient, professional, and confidential
  • Ability to work effectively in an interagency environment with federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence professionals
  • Effective organizational, problem-solving, writing, and communication skills
  • Willingness to attend trainings as deemed necessary by Division leadership
  • Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License required
