Job summary

HDR is seeking an Integrated Watershed Management Business Class Director to lead technical capabilities and coordinate across market sectors and offices. The role focuses on risk management, quality assurance, and strategic planning to advance HDR’s water initiatives while fostering an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities include mentoring technical leaders, guiding service areas, and representing HDR in industry organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in related field.
• Registration in Architecture/Engineering for leadership roles with core service as technical design.
• Experience leading diverse teams and collaborating across HDR leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through process and resource reviews.
• Drive quality assurance and control with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards, and techniques.
• Partner with market sector directors to develop strategic plans.
• Facilitate teamwork and cross-office collaboration.
• Monitor direction, policies, and workload allocation within the business class.
• Build technical expertise and staffing through recruitment and training.
