Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Class Director for Integrated Watershed Management. You will lead technical capabilities, coordinate with market sectors, and manage risk across large, multi-disciplinary projects.

The role focuses on technical leadership, client development, and maintaining HDR standards, while advancing the firm’s employee-owned culture. Location is flexible within the United States with ~35% travel; requires a professional engineering/architecture registration, a strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional engineering or architecture registration required for leadership roles.
• Experience leading diverse teams and complex projects.
• Collaboration with other directors, managers and marketing on business class efforts.
• Commitment to HDR values and an active employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Coordinate with related business classes, market sectors and operations.
• Lead risk management and ensure quality standards and delivery expectations.
• Drive QA/QC processes and coordinate with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards and techniques.
• Mentor technical leaders and support client development and pursuits.
• Coordinate planning, modeling and design services within the business class.
