Job summary

BREMERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT 100-C is seeking a paraeducator for an Integrated Skills Program. You will assist teachers with curriculum planning, prepare instructional materials, and help implement Individual Education Plans for students with significant disabilities.

Position involves mobility assistance, medical support, and sometimes therapy sessions under supervision. The role is physically demanding and requires consistent attendance and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; 72 college credits or an AA Degree.
• ParaPath or ParaPro test scores may be required or preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience with children in a school environment preferred.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with/without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Instruct individuals or small groups to promote student learning objectives and support IEP implementation.
• Supervise students to ensure safety in classroom, lunchroom, recess, bus duty, and related areas.
• Maintain and assess student records and progress reporting; prepare reports.
• Conduct student assessments to determine placement and progress.
• Assist certificated staff with planning and curriculum materials.
