Job summary

BREMERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT 100-C is seeking a Paraeducator to support teachers with curriculum planning, materials preparation, and student assessments. The role may involve assisting with mobility, medical support, and implementing IEPs for special needs students.

Reports to Building Supervisor. Positions require handling records, supervision duties across classrooms and lunch areas, and collaboration with staff to meet district expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 72 college credits required.
• Passing ParaPro, Praxis or Master Teacher score required.
• Some child development coursework preferred.
• Experience with children in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Instruct individuals or small groups to promote learning objectives.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and well-being.
• Maintain student records and progress reports.
• Conduct assessments to determine placement and progress.
• Assist certificated staff with curriculum planning and materials.
• Process daily work; correct, grade, and record papers.
• Provide basic medical/therapeutic support as directed.
• Attend meetings and trainings; perform related duties.
