Job summary

Central States Manufacturing, Inc. in Tontitown, AR seeks a Planning Analyst to drive Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes, translating inputs into actionable forecasts that align demand with supply.

You will develop planning models, monitor inventory performance, and support data-driven decisions across the enterprise. You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and Finance to improve service levels, reduce working capital, and enable profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, analytics, finance, or related field.
• Two or more years of demand/supply/inventory planning or related analytical experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data modeling.
• Experience analyzing large data sets and translating findings into recommendations.
• Familiarity with forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, lead times, and service levels.
• Understanding of inventory carrying costs and working capital impact.
• Experience with ERP, planning, or business intelligence systems, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecasts by product, category, and location levels.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias; investigate variances and propose corrective actions.
• Analyze inventory investment, turns, aging, excess and obsolescence, and service levels.
• Develop inventory segmentation, safety stock, lead-time assumptions, and stocking policies.
• Monitor inventory health and reduce slow-moving or obsolete stock while preserving service.
• Coordinate planning analyses across multiple locations to position inventory effectively.
• Translate forecasts into purchase, replenishment, transfer, or production recommendations.
• Prepare demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial analyses for IBP processes.
• Create dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, SQL; ensure data quality and reliability.
• Document data definitions and decision rules; train users of planning tools.
