Job summary

CalHR in Crescent City is seeking an Integrated Case Worker II to support Del Norte County by determining eligibility for multiple public assistance programs and providing basic employment services. You will manage a diverse client caseload, interpret regulations, and coordinate with community resources to assist clients in transitioning to employment and attaining benefits.

Qualifications

• Pattern 1: One (1) year of full-time experience as an Integrated Case Worker I.
• OR Two (2) years of full-time experience performing vocational guidance services, employment counseling or placement work; and completion of 15 semester units in behavioral science or related field.
• OR Thirty (30) months of full-time experience performing vocation guidance services, employment counseling or placement work.
• OR A bachelor's degree in a behavioral science, education, business/public administration or closely related field with six months experience performing vocational guidance services.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, advises and guides clients to ascertain employability and determine benefit eligibility.
• Handles crisis situations by authorizing benefits within guidelines or referring to other staff.
• Maintains case records and monitors client compliance with program standards.
• May conduct field visits to monitor client progress and compliance with Welfare-to-Work Plans.
• Coordinates case management with other staff and service providers.
