Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to develop and maintain a comprehensive program of behavioral health services across the clinic setting. This role joins a multidisciplinary team to improve screening and management of social, emotional, and behavioral health in an ambulatory care system.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Montana clinical candidate licensure (SWLC, PCLC, or MFLC).
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred 1–2 years of experience in the health care field.

Responsibilities

• Support the mental and physical health care of patients across the care continuum and coordinate with the patient’s care team.
• Provide screening, brief intervention, and referrals.
• Document and maintain appropriate clinical documentation.
• Systematically track treatment response and monitor clinical symptoms and treatment side effects.
• Support psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers.
• Track patient follow up and clinical outcomes; maintain data registries.
• Provide or facilitate referrals to evidence-based psychosocial treatments as clinically indicated.
• Facilitate referrals for clinically indicated services outside of the organization.
• Engage in supervision as required by state licensure.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
