Job summary

The City of New York is seeking an Intake Specialist to support the Division of Child and Family Well-Being within ACS. You will handle intake, eligibility determinations, data entry, and communications with parents and childcare providers to ensure timely processing of applications.

Responsibilities include coordinating communications, assisting with ACCIS data entry, reviewing cases for accuracy, and supporting special projects while adhering to state mandates.

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent.
• Typing speed of at least 100 keystrokes per minute.
• Experience with data entry and clerical tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare, and distribute communications to parents and programs.
• Liaise with the Central Intake Team and RA staff.
• Provide technical assistance and support to childcare programs on eligibility and enrollment.
• Review cases and enter data into ACCIS accurately and timely.
• Assist clients in person with childcare applications and inquiries.
• Perform data entry into Control Log and manage case files.
• Navigate ACCIS to verify Cash Assistance status and refer families appropriately.
• Support special projects as needed.
