Position Overview:

The Intake Representative on the Referral team is the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient admission process into Tellihealth. The Intake Representative is crucial in managing patient information, verifying insurance coverage, ensuring a positive patient experience, and handling various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welcoming patients to the organization.
  2. Completing all admissions paperwork and entering it digitally.
  3. Verifying medical insurance coverage and benefits for each patient.
  4. Scheduling appointments for consultations, tests, and procedures.
  5. Addressing patient complaints or concerns.
  6. Performing clerical work, such as filing, copying, and faxing.
  7. Preparing and maintaining patient charts.
  8. Complying with the regulations and policies of the facility.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • One (1) year of experience in patient intake or medical office administration, required.
  • Experience in a call center or similar position, preferred.
  • Strong affinity for customer service.
  • Working knowledge of office management and filing systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
