Job summary

Wedgwood Christian Services seeks an Intake/Scheduling Intern to support counseling center operations at the Bouma Counseling Center in Grand Rapids. Responsibilities include answering the scheduling line, scheduling initial evaluations, client check-in, and general administrative support for community programs.

The role requires currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, with preference for Social Work, Psychology, or Criminal Justice majors.

Qualifications

• Currently obtaining a Bachelor’s degree; preference for Social Work, Psychology, or Criminal Justice students.
• Prior experience within a human service agency preferred.
• Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the agency’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Screen telephone inquiries and enter client data into WeCare (EMR System).
• Schedule intake appointments for new clients.
• Assist with client cancellations and rescheduling needs.
• Greet clients/visitors at the front desk of the Bouma Counseling Center.
• Support clients through the check-in process and update client demographics; collect payments; obtain signatures on forms.
