Job summary

West Oaks Hospital in Houston, TX seeks a dynamic Intake Registered Nurse to coordinate assessments and admissions for behavioral health patients. The RN works closely with the Intake Patient Access team and physicians to initiate admission processes and support discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Education: graduate of ADN, Diploma or BSN program.
• Licensure: current Texas State RN licensure; CPR and de-escalation certifications.
• Experience: none required; preferred 2 years in inpatient psychiatric or medical/surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions by assessing incoming patients with Intake staff.
• Assist in discharge planning and coordination of doctor assessments.
• Support intake and performance improvement activities.
