Job summary

Voyages Behavioral Health in Conroe, TX is seeking an Intake Nurse (RN) to screen admissions and relay information to physicians to determine level of care. This role collaborates with the nursing, clinical and Intake teams to ensure timely admission of patients.

You will contribute to department meetings and quality initiatives, maintaining services within TJC requirements and supporting the hospital's accredited standards.

Qualifications

• RN required; licensed in the state where the hospital resides.
• BLS required.
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
• 2–3 years of admissions experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patient admissions and communicate information to the physician to determine if patient meets level of care.
• Collaborate with nursing, clinical staff and Intake department to ensure timely admission of patients.
• Contribute to department meetings, quality initiatives and maintain services within TJC requirements.
