Job summary

Flair in Chicago seeks an Intake Specialist to be the first contact for homeownership and neighborhood programs. You will assess eligibility, collect and organize application materials, and prepare files for review by the program team.

The ideal candidate will promote Habitat for Humanity and AmeriCorps values, communicate clearly, and work well with volunteers and diverse groups. Strong organization and basic Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident as AmeriCorps member.
• Commitment to Habitat for Humanity International and AmeriCorps mission.
• Experience with volunteers or instructing groups is valued.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for program inquiries and intake.
• Determine eligibility and collect application materials for review.
• Prepare applications for further review by the program team.
• Support outreach and recruitment efforts in the community.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of applicants.
