Flair in Chicago seeks an Intake Specialist to be the first contact for homeownership and neighborhood programs. You will assess eligibility, collect and organize application materials, and prepare files for review by the program team.

The ideal candidate will promote Habitat for Humanity and AmeriCorps values, communicate clearly, and work well with volunteers and diverse groups. Strong organization and basic Office skills are essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident as AmeriCorps member.
• Commitment to Habitat for Humanity International and AmeriCorps mission.
• Experience with volunteers or instructing groups is valued.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.

The program support coordinator - intake specialist is a first point of contact for homeownership and neighborhood focused programs. They interact with potential applicants to determine program eligibility, collect and document application materials and prepare them for further review. They have a thorough understanding of program requirements and are a key person for outreach and recruitment.

Minimum requirements

• AmeriCorps members must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident.
• AmeriCorps members must be at least 18 or older.
• AmeriCorps members must have a high school diploma or GED.
• AmeriCorps members may have recurring access to vulnerable populations and must satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Teams.

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
• About 30% of this position requires outreach in the community, including visiting buildings and homes that may have stairs, as well as occasionally serving on project sites that may have uneven terrain.
