Austin Oaks Hospital in South Austin, Texas seeks an Intake Supervisor to oversee the intake department's daily operations, ensuring timely, clinically appropriate referrals, assessments and admissions. You will partner with physicians, nurses, therapists, and case management to optimize patient flow and bed utilization.

You will provide leadership and coaching to intake staff, monitor quality, and escalate issues as needed to maintain service excellence and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with TX RN license or licensure as a therapist.
• 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience required.
• 1 year supervisory experience required.
• CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications (can be obtained during orientation).
• Nationwide background check and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the daily operations of the intake department for a mental health hospital.
• Ensure referrals, inquiries, assessments and admissions are timely and clinically appropriate.
• Lead intake workflow management and collaborate with physicians, nurses and units.
• Support patient flow, bed utilization and safe admission practices.
• Provide leadership, coaching and oversight to intake staff; resolve workflow issues.
