Universal Health Services' Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking an Intake Supervisor to oversee referrals, inquiries, assessments and admissions in a fast-paced psychiatric setting. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists and care teams to ensure timely patient flow and a compassionate first impression.

The role leads intake staff, monitors performance against cycle time and bed utilization goals, and supports staff development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; Texas RN license (or compact state) OR licensed therapist (LPC/LMFT).
• 2 years psychiatric nursing experience required.
• 1 year supervisory experience required.
• CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications (can be obtained on orientation).
• Background check and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily intake operations for referrals, inquiries, assessments, and admissions to ensure timely, clinically appropriate and service-focused handling.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day oversight to intake staff; monitor quality and prioritize assignments; support staff development.
